"I can't draw!" Sandy claims. But Mrs. Cornejo shows that Sandy actually can.
In Mrs. Cornejo's class, the students were asked to draw the faces of their friends. All the children started drawing. All except Sandy.
"I can't draw," Sandy whined. "It's hard work!"
Mrs. Cornejo asked Sandy, "Is it as hard as drawing two dots side by side?"
Sandy drew two dots side by side.
Mrs. Cornejo asked Sandy, "Is it as hard as drawing a curve under the two dots?"
Sandy drew a curve under the two dots.
Mrs. Cornejo asked Sandy, "Is it as hard as drawing a circle around the two dots and a curve?"
Sandy drew a circle around the two dots and a curve.
"It's a face!" Sandy cried out.
"See?" said Mrs. Cornejo. "It's not that hard to draw. Now start with the two dots again..."
By the end of Mrs. Cornejo's class, Sandy had drawn all her classmates. Not only did she draw their faces, she drew hair on top of their heads too.
